What I saw less than 30 seconds after the first plane hit Tower One. I thought it was an earthquake before I ran to my terrace and took this photo. The Towers are just behind the building in front. The huge TV antenna is atop Tower One.

Two weeks after the attack I came back to my apartment and saw the air full of dust and ashes, and a gaping hole at the end of Greenwich Street. The smell was indescribable, you could taste it in your mouth and feel it in your throat and eyes.
