NMAH Story: Story
I was all packed and ready to head for the Sacramento Airport in California. A round trip flight to Albuquerque, NM to visit my brother for the first time in almost 7 years. I put my suitcases by the door and turned on the television and saw what was happening, was horrified but it all seemed so unreal. I then heard the fact that all planes were grounded and I remember feeling so disappointed. After watching TV for the next 3 days straight...I finally realized not everything was about me, and was horrified at the comprehension of the loss of life and families and everything.
NMAH Story: Life Changed
I learned that every moment is precious and to live life to the fullest. I have learned my family also includeslots of people I do not even know and will never meet.
NMAH Story: Remembered
I recently went to the site while on vacation and I was in silent awe. It should be designated as holy ground, there are still spirits there. I had such a lump in my throat I could barely breathe...I hope they make the whole area a memorial to the human spirit. - Geri Hill

NMAH Story: Flag
I have always been proud of being an American, but never prouder as we all stand united in the fact that terrorism may ruin things and lives but it will never squelch the spirit of freedom that we have.
