NMAH Story: Story
I was on my way to school when I first learned what happened. My carpool told us that there had been some sort of bombing at the World Trade Centers. I knew it was bad but not how horrible it actually turned out to be. My mom was the first to react; she had known people who had worked there at one time. At school we watched the news and talked about the attacks almost all day.
NMAH Story: Life Changed
My life and the lives of all Americans have changed a lot since September 11. The nation has become more united and patriotic. What I dont like is how the media has used September 11 to tell us to buy this or do this because it is patriotic.
NMAH Story: Remembered
I think that the most important thing to be remembered about September 11 is how the nation banded together and became stronger.
NMAH Story: Flag
The American flag has definitely changed. It is displayed everywhere. In school, almost every classroom has a flag. I have mixed feelings about the flag; it almost doesnt seem as special now that it is displayed everywhere.
