NMAH Story: Story
I was at home, reading a book. My kids were at school and preschool, and I was enjoying a few minutes of peace and quiet. My mom called and told me to turn on the TV. I flicked on ABC, and the screen showed the towers belching black smoke.
NMAH Story: Life Changed
Of course, how couldn't it? I think I'm a little more jaded about the world than I was, primarily because I feel like the birthright of my children has been stolen. I always beleived that, while there are plenty of dangerous people and things in our nation, one of the things that we were safe from was sudden attack by a foreign power on our own shores. How can I protect my kids from that?
NMAH Story: Remembered
Courgae. Sacrifice. And the clear emergence of the American Spririt.
NMAH Story: Flag
Absolutely, I flew a flag. And no, my feelings toward the flag have not changed. Amplified, perhaps. But the flag stands for the same things today that it stood for on September 10, 2001.
