911DA Story: Story
I was at work sitting at my desk listening to the radio when I heard that a plane has crashed into the one of the WTC towers. I thought oh my god this is unbelievable. At the same time
same time my cousin called to tell me that she saw the plane fly by her office window. Her sister, Lashawana Johnson worked in the towers and so she immediately called Lashawana to tell her to get out of the building. Lashawana told her sister that they were told to stay in the office. Tawana pleaded with her sister to get out and Lashawana told her that she would. The last anyone heard from Lashawana was when she called her mother (my aunt) but got her brother instead and told him that she loved him and to take care of her children. See Lashawana had 3 wonderful kids the youngest had just turned 2. She would go to work 6-7 in the morning to start her work. She would be there to see the sun rise and set. I miss her terribly. The whole family misses her. There is no closure for my aunt and some of my family members because we did not have a burial. We cannnot go and visit a grave. All we have is a plaque and all of our happy memories. To all of the families and friends who have lost someone on 9/11 God Bless.
Sincerely,
De'Tisha Grant
