This year is particularly hard, for no reason I can grasp. There are never many days that go by before I remember what happened that day, what I saw, and the strangers I encountered that day. I still see the images in my mind, and I always see the faces of the friends I lost. I have been listening to the memorial at ground zero off and on all morning, and as I heard the name of my friend Ed being read, I commented to myself that his last name was not pronounced correctly, and then I started to cry. I missed the readings of Winston and Cynthia, and I hope to catch the readings for Angela and Abraham. I miss them all.
