NMAH Story: Story

I woke up on September 11th and walked into the living room where the tv was on and blaring the news. At first I didn't know what was going on and I sat down confused, then what happened hit me full force and shock began to set in. We listened to NPR on the way to school and we talked about it in some of my classes; but for the most part the day passed almost in a blur until the afternoon when the shock finally wore off and the anxiety became too much and i cried.

NMAH Story: Life Changed

My life hasn't changed very much since September 11th. However i do think about the events of that day and how they have changed the lives of people all over the world, no matter how subtle that change may have been.

NMAH Story: Remembered

Just like with the Holocaust, we should always remember September 11th so that it can never happen again. Remembering can mean anything from talking about the events to participateing in a comemorative ceremony, but it should be something.

NMAH Story: Flag

My family did fly an American flag after September 11th. However, I don't think my feelings about the flag have really changed. The flag, for me at least, has always been a symbol of freedom, and of our patriotic pride for our county. The only thing different now is that we've added enduring to the freedom part and steadfast to the patriotic pride.
