NMAH Story: Story

I was first informed of the terrorist attacks to our nation as I was sitting in my second hour science class on the morning of September 11th, 2001. After science, I went to my English class where we were able to watch the news coverage of the attacks to learn more about the situation. I was deeply hurt by how cruel the people responsible for the attacks could be.

NMAH Story: Life Changed

My life has not changed too drastically after 9/11, but the one thing that has changed is that I now feel compelled to tell the people I care about how I feel about them. I wouldn't want to lose the people I love most, especially if they were unaware of my feelings for them.

NMAH Story: Remembered

I think that the bravery of the firefighters and police officers should always be remembered. If they had not been so brave, many more lives could have been lost. I believe that many Americans owe their lives to these people, and I have a great deal of respect for our heroes.

NMAH Story: Flag

My family has always been patriotic, and we have always flown the American flag in our backyard. We continued to fly our flag with pride after the events of September 11th. I think that a lot of people are now showing a lot more respect for the flag and what it stands for. I think they also understand how much it inspires and touches people who were involved in wars in the past.
