NMAH Story: Story
I was sitting in 9th grade English when our principal came in and told us what had happened. I remember being totally shell-shocked and not feeling remorse until a few days later. Then it hit me in one full blast. I was overcome with sadness and and a very an unbreakable sense of patriotism. I felt proud to be an American and glad that our country stood together so valiantly and unified.
NMAH Story: Life Changed
I have become more security conscious, especially due to the Anti-American sentiment in the Middle East. I have also become more reliant on God because only He knows what is going to happen.
NMAH Story: Remembered
I think the heroes should be remembered. The firefighters, policeman, volunteers who rushed to help, passengers who overcame the hijackers and the hundreds of more unsung heroes who fought for what they believed in and risked their life to help others. And most importantly, the innocent people who died in the World Trade Center Towers and the Pentagon.
NMAH Story: Flag
We did fly an American flag on the car. My feelings have, if anything, become more proud and steadfast about our flag because it stands for everything just and right.
