NMAH Story: Story

well on september 11th it was just a regular day. i just went to school not knowing what happened earlier. so i went to first period still knowing what had happened. and after 20 minutes my english teacher turned on the radio and there was men telling us about what had happened earlier that morning. so we were listening to howard stern talking about this horrific event and how the second tower had just fallen. i remember that it didnt really matter to me at the time cuz i didnt even know what the world trade center was. it was just another building for me. but when i went home and saw people falling out of the building it hit me hard. it was just breathe taking seeing people jumping trying to live and do what ever it takes to do so. and just seeing the plane fly into that building was horrible. and the thing is that i had just visited the pentagon about one week prior to semptember 11th. and i was going to stay an extra week to visit new york but since we had no where to stay at last minute we didnt end up staying. so i thank god that i didnt stay an extra week.

NMAH Story: Life Changed

ummm well my life has changed after september 11th. after i saw the people running away and the firefighters and police men running into the smoke adn towards the buildings i gained a lot more respect for what those men did. knowing that they could die but still risking there lives to find people to save. and when i saw those people falling out of the towers it made me think that i only have so long to live so i dont want to regret any of it. and thats how it has changed me.

NMAH Story: Remembered

i think that everyone should remember the firefighters and police men and how they risked there lives and that terrorism will always be there whether we like it or not. and we cant stop it but theres ways we can try to prevent it like more security which has been done. and thats what people should remember,

NMAH Story: Flag

we put an american flag on the window of our cars. and we put a banner on the front of our house saying, we will never forget. which me and my sister made. and we sat out that one day and held the candles. and yeah i do look at the american flag differently. i think it seems more symbolic to me. it shows that we're united as the fifty states. and the starspangled banner means more to me then ever. i used to think it was lame song that you had to sing before basketball and football games. but now i actually listen to the words and it shows that are country is more bonded and together then ever before.
