NMAH Story: Story
I heard about 9/11 while in school. A friend told me he saw something on one of the school TV's the period before but he wasn't sure what it was. Later in the day we watched the live news in a different class. That was when the second plane hit the tower. Finally, when I got home, it was on every channel - coast to coast - so I watched it most of the day.
NMAH Story: Life Changed
My life has not changed much, if at all. I did not lose anyone in any of the crashes nor did I know anyone that was in them. I kept on going with my normal routiens after everyone got over the initial blow.
NMAH Story: Remembered
The heros and the victims. All of the firefighters and police officers in addition to all the unfortunate people who went to work that day.
NMAH Story: Flag
I did have a flag with me the next few days. I kept it in my backpack as I was at school and my mom put up a flag in our flagpole in the front of our house. I have much more respect for the flag now. I honor it when we say the Pledge of Allegiance at school.
