NMAH Story: Story
On September 11th I was in school in my first period class with my math teacher, Mrs.Weaver, the bell rang to switch classes and it seemed like a normal bright sunny day. In the hallways I heard people talking about the Twin Towers and something about an airplane crashing into the one. I went to my next class and that's when I was told what had happened. At first I felt revenge and upset at the same time. Revenge for my country and the people who died trying to save others life. I did not know who you would get revenge on because it was not like Pearl Harbor when we all knew who did it. I also felt upset because I was stuck in school somewhere I would least want to be. I wanted to be with my family. I knew that they were ok, but I just wanted to be with those that I love.
NMAH Story: Life Changed
I know when something tragic happens like 9-11 it affects the whole entire world, each person in one way or another. This was how it affected me. I did not know anyone who passed away. At first I did not even understand what had happened. I thought it was a mistake or misunderstanding. I thought in my head how can this be? My life has changed because of September 11, 2001. It made me learn to be thankful for what I have and that I am alive. It taught me not to take things for granted. It taught me all of the simple things that everybody learns and never really thinks about until something like this happens. I am proud for my country that everyone stood by each other and we as Americans grew stronger.
NMAH Story: Remembered
I think that we should remember those who have died saving anothers life. Those who were doing their every day jobs. I think that we should celebrate the heros that were born that day. Always remember that we are proud to be an American every day that we are alive.
NMAH Story: Flag
After the events of September 11th my family and I hung an American flag outside on a pole. My feelings about the American flag changed a little. I have always given respect for my country and flag. It just makes me feel more respect for the flag and my country since September 11, 2001 because it happened in my lifetime. This event I will remember the rest of my life.
