NMAH Story: Story
I remember recieving a phone call from a friend and she asked me if I was watching the Television I lived in (Columbus Ohio at the time) and I tole her NO but I turned it on to see what she was talking about because all she said was the W.T.C. was on fire just as I tuned in the second plane hit and all I could do was stand in my Bedroom in disbelief like this can not be real . I had to be at work at 10.00am and I rode the City Bus, I remember talking to a lady at the bus stop and she Knew nothing about it and was stunned when I told her what had happened. but at the time I did not now we were under attack . I arrived at Work and My Boss had the radio on and we were listening as things developed Around 12.30pm The Mall across the street recieved a fake Bomb threat and was being evacuated and since the Store I worked at (Payless Shoe Source) was about 2 blocks from the Ohio State Capitol and Downtown Columbus came to a Halt we were told to close I posted a sign on the Door saying "Sorry we are Closed Due to National Event's" and went home and Hung my Flag and Cried

NMAH Story: Flag
Yes and I still do , I have always loves our Flag but since September 11th 2001 That piece of fabric represents freedom and demorcacy even more so than 228 years ago when Betsy Ross took a Piece of Paper and Convinced General Washington to use a 5 pointed star with a single snip
