NMAH Story: Story
I am from the Sarasota, Florida area. On September 11, 2001, I and my eight year old son went to see Air Force One at the Sarasota Airport before his school started for the day. It was just an hour later that the attacks occurred and the President left Sarasota. My son will always remember that day, since it changed our lives, due to my activation for military duty, following the attacks.
NMAH Story: Life Changed
As a result of the attacks, I was notified that I was to be mobilized for active Army duty. I am a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army Reserve and have been activated and working at the Pentagon since the attacks. Currently, I am on my second year of active duty, with my family remaining in Florida.
NMAH Story: Remembered
How the Nation pulled together following the attacks.
NMAH Story: Flag
My flag at my home in Florida flys daily to represent both the attack and my activation. The flag continues to represent the resolve of the American people to protect our way of life.
