RC Story: Story

I woke up to my roommate screaming that New York had been bombed and that we were next. I was thinking, no, that is not possible. I then turned on the T.V and saw the second plane hit the tower, i was in shock. I screamed, i have friends in there. I did not know what to do. I called my parents and other friends and family. I tried to call New York, but the phone lines were jamed. I was like, i have lost three best friends in one day, this is not good.
After two long days of not knowing if my friends were alive or not, i found out that two were and one was missiing. I cried for her and for everyone else that was lost that day. To this day, her family and i still do not have a body to lay to rest. Just two limbs of her were found. Saying goodbye to that was not the same as a body, i guess i do not have the closure that i thought i would. Her famimly laid her to rest in Colorado, were we grew up for three years together. It was the worst month of my life. Every day i miss her, but i relized that she did not suffer becasue she was on the floor where the plane hit. I will never get to hear her laugh, cry of just joke anymore. At least i know she is another angel watching over me and her family along with all the other Sept 11 vitums. I truly miss you Julie. I know you are watching me.

RC Story: Response

I responded by holding a candle light visual at my college and then orginzing a food drive to send to New York and Washington. I went to a church where they holding a visual for all the police, fire and paradimics in Lincoln IL, and hugged as many as i could and thanked them for the work they do.
I helped me friends school send blankets, teddy bears and bandanas for the children and firemen out in New York going though the rubble. It was a wonderful feeling knowing that i could help make a difference.
