NMAH Story: Story
Well, at first I didn't believe what our principal Mr. Hallman (of Benjamin N Cardozo High School at Bayside, Queens) said on the loudspeaker. Building hit- what was he talking about? Maybe a plane just accidentally flew off course. But when he announced that the second tower was hit people understood it was no joke. Students started
rushing to the phones and calling their parents. Parents came down to school to pick up their children. Names of those whose parents waited downstairs were announced on the loudspeaker.
The whole situation- the school- everything and everyone-
was very gloomy.

NMAH Story: Life Changed
Yes, it has.
I have a different view on the world, on everyday life concepts.
Before i would have never thought that US could be attacked and Sept. 11 had proven me wrong. I see everything through a different prism now- life, money, people, everything became a little dimmer.
The only bright thing left is a need, a desire to breathe, to wake up every day and be safe and for everybody around you to be safe; a need to survive, to create, to do something useful for yourself and for others in this short thing we call "life".

Unpredictable future
Its hard to tell whatll happen in a day.
Who will be born? Wholl die? Wholl kill someone?
We cant predict the future, we just pray.
Will a plane with people crash or fly astray?
Can something to prevent the crash be done?
Its hard to tell whatll happen in a day.
Is someone going to shoot someone today?
Will he be paralyzed so he cant run?
We cant predict the future, we just pray.
Will Broadway show another sober play?
Or maybe it will be a lot of fun.
Its hard to tell whatll happen in a day.
Will the sky tomorrow be light blue or gray?
Can rivers flood, destroying everyone?
We cant predict the future, we just pray.
Will other countries hate us in a way?
Or will we all unite and be like one?
Its hard to tell whatll happen in a day.
We cant predict the future, we just pray.

NMAH Story: Flag
Yes, I guess so.
Now every time the national anthem plays in my school and we stand quietly, I feel as though it plays only for me, plays for the heroes who died, I feel a part of something.
I feel more American than before I guess, more proud to live in this country and see heroes around and know that NOBODY here dies in vain and infamy.
