I woke up at 5:30, and went to my usual class at 6:15. As I entered the building I met up with my friend. At once she started telling of a plane crashing into the Twin Towers. To tell you the truth I didn't know what the Twin Towers in New York was. So I just brushed off what she said, and started paying attention in my class. After this class, i walked out and started talking to my friends. Every once in a while i would hear a comment about a plane hitting a building in New York. I still thought nothing of this. At my next class, the realization of what was going on became more clear. This was serious. All through class we watched the news on TV. A terrorists attack on our nation? There was so much that I didn't understand, and so much I wanted to learn. Then we learned of a second plane hitting the second tower. Then it was said on the news, that another plane that was hijacked was still in the air, and unknown was its destination. I was taken over by terror as I thought of how it might be headed towards LA.
School was different that day. Everyone single person was effected. The radio played different songs, the TV showed different programs, and peoples attitudes that day were unlike any other.
