NMAH Story: Story
We were in orchestra class (I was a high school junior) and were watching it happen. We actually saw the second plane hit the tower on TV, and both collapse. Then we heard a sonic boom of a plane overhead. We all got freaked out that the nearby air force base had been attacked, but it was just a friendly jet. That was the scariest part. I think I "witnessed history" in that this event will trigger lots of historical events. Especially if Bush foolishly attacks Iraq.
NMAH Story: Life Changed
Not really. Not at all, in fact. My view on the policies of our country got a little more negative, but my life didn't change.
NMAH Story: Remembered
All the people that died in the four attacks. They were the reason the day was so awful. If the planes had been cargo planes and the towers were empty, it wouldn't have been as horrible as it was, so I think we should remember the people who died.
NMAH Story: Flag
No, I didn't fly a flag. I think it's sort of ridiculous that people put a piece of cloth outside to "support our country" instead of volunteering to help, even just around their neighborhood. The flag is so overused everywhere that it's lost much of its meaning.
