911DA Story: Story

I was at my grandmother?s home on 9/11. we were watching TV., when all of a sudden the usual television program was interrupted by the horrible news that a plane had hit one of the W.T.C. towers in New York. We were both stunned, we started to get worried and very nervous (although our friends from the U.S. live in California). It was absolutely unbelievable. And then the second tower was hit and they both fell to the ground one after the other, live. I started crying without being aware of it. It was like I was watching the end of the world on national T.V.. I couldn?t move, I couldn?t talk, all I could do was stare at the television screen not being capable of believing or understanding what was happening. I remember asking myself: ?How was this possible? Wasn?t U.S.A. the most powerful country in the world? If it got stricken and wasn?t able to prevent it, what would the rest of the world do in this kind of situation??. It was a terrible day, felt as so in many countries of the world, even in Romania. Romanians, as part of the human specie also grieved for the ones that died that day and for their families. I am sorry for what they must have gone through and I congratulate the American people for being there for each other when it was most needed. They managed to set an example for the rest of us humans.
