Description
I grew up around NYC and had been working in Manhattan for several years when the attacks of 9/11 occurred. On that date I was in Europe, in Kosovo visiting family. I saw the attack live on satellite television on a Turkish channel, I assumed it was just a bad movie. When I realized my mistake I was consumed by grief, despair, worry, rage, countless emotions. The next day several thousand persons marched through downtown Prishtina to show their support for America, their solidarity with the super power that had saved them from ethnic cleansing and genocide. These pictures are from September 12, 2001.
