September 11 Victims Compensation Fund

In your decision regarding the administration and distribution of these funds, please:

Include among relatives eligible for compensation those who lost their life partners as well as de facto parents or children, without regard to sexual orientation or marital status.

It's time the U.S. Government follows the example already set by New York Governor Pataki in granting compensation benefits "on a showing of mutual interdependence with the victim, in recognition that anyone who shared with the victim living expenses, day-to-day activities and the emotional bonds of family deserves help in this time of need."

I am deeply concerned with the events since this horrible tradegy and the lack of concern by the government, especially our President, to all individuals who make up this grand country of ours. I see far to much knee jerk reaction instead in deeply and prayerfully thought out responses that consider all peoples.

Please start today to do the right thing, that which is best for all involved. Loss is no less because people do not fit the square peg the religious bigots (hardly Christians) attempt to force us all to fit into. As much hatred pours from these so called Christians as from terrorists, albeit in a much more subtle way.
