I remember watching television that morning as I do every morning, the today's show, when Katie made the announcement that a plane crashed into the World Trade Center. I thought oh Lord. Then they switched to the World Trade burning and I saw the second plane strike and I was horrified. I though Jesus this is terrorism right off the bat. I was in shock and when the World Trade center fell, I was on speechless. I had called my neighbor who never watches television but on that day, she did after I told her. I remember not sleeping because I felt so bad for the people who lost their lives there and for the families that will miss them. I was sleepless for about ten nights. I could not stay away from the television no matter how I tried. It was so hard to comprehend. I know the country was in shock as well. I know we all had to actually pray to keep ourselves together and to pray for the families that were in distress. This was a terrible blow to us all. I do believe we have become stronger as a country as a result of this and I believe we will stay strong. Pray for the families that suffered a loss. Pray for their recovery. God Bless America. The country that they are jealous of.
