I had just gotten up and was getting ready for the day when my phone rang and it was my mom on the phone. She said "Turn on CNN". I did and I all I could see was a huge building which I thought had just caught fire. I asked my mom "Where is that?" That's when she told me and I heard the announcer at the same time say "NYC The World Trade Center". I couldn't believe it. All I could do was stand there and cry after I found out what really happened;even though I didn't know anyone that was in the building. I kept asking myself "how can someone have so much hate in them to do this?"

Then of course my thoughts went to my, at the time, unborn son. I was 4 1/2 months pregnant at the time. I kept thinking "my son will never get to see the Towers standing.

Still to this day it still brings tears to my eyes whenever I think about it and what the victims and their families as well as all the rescue workers and firemen had to be feeling that day. My prayers go out to all of you. God Bless America.
