I was getting ready for work when my friend, Ellen, called me and told me to turn on TV. I saw the first World Trade Tower on fire immediately after being struck by the first plane. I was watching, not realizing what I was seeing when the second plane hit the second World Trade Tower. The horror was too much for my mind to behold. I felt as though I were watching some terrible horrow show. I called work and told them to tune in the TV in our conference room. I then called my two children, who happen to both live in Washington, DC. They had not left for work yet and were both still at home. I told them to turn on the TV. I then finished getting dressed and was on my way to work when the third plane hit the Pentagon. I then changed my mind about going to work and went to my friend, Mary's, house where I stayed until 8:00 pm glued to the TV set and watched the tragic events of that terrible day unfold. I could not get through on the telephone lines again that day to talk to my children, although I knew they would not be going into the city as it had been closed off to the public. I will never forget that day or how it changed me and the entire world around me. God Bless Us All!!!
