911DA Story: Story

I will never forget the fear, the hurt, the anger, the shock
I felt during the entire day. I watched those news reels in
horror and disbelief. I didn't personally know any of
those whose lives were taken that day but they were Americans
and therefore my brothers and sisters. I can only imagine how
their friends, families and co-workers felt and must still feel
to this day. My heart went out to them then and still aches
for them now. I am proud of the resolve of our nation and it's
president that we would not and did not let this attack go
unanswered. For all the hurt, I was so proud to be an American
that day and in the days following. If anything good can be
said to have come from the ordeal it is that I have been better
able to put into perspective what truly matters and what is
important. My most treasured gift, my little girl, became even
more precious to me that day because I was reminded of how quickly
things change. I never did, but especially now never will, let an
opportunity to hug or kiss her or tell her I love her pass me
by.
We ARE a nation under God, indivisible, with liberty for all
and for that I am so grateful and so proud. We proved that day
that united we stand!
