911DA Story: Story
I had just got out of the shower.I sat down to watch some TV when the news broke into the show and took us to New York city.I can remember i was just about to turn the channel when i saw the World Trade Center on fire.At first i thought it was an accident(as im sure everyone did watching),then while Im watching this live broadcast another plane flys right into the other tower.I
remember the news caster's voice very shaky as she was explaining that a second plane had hit the World Trade Centers.The realization that there were alot of people dead or trapped, set in.I can remember tears just started rolling down my face as i watched.Nobody knew what was going on or why.I walked into work about a half hour later that day(i work at a store in my town as a cashier)my boss just looked at me with total disbelief.That whole day was spent listening to the radio as people would come in the store with such saddeness wondering what was going to happen next.Even though we were about five hours away from the city, there was not one person in this town that did not feel what had happened.I remember walking outside that day and feeling i was a different person and this was surely a different world.
