I was working in my office in Li?ge. Around noon I received a sms-message from a friend that there was something completely going wrong in NY. I immediately visited the CNN-website where I saw the first images of the attacked Twin Towers. It was a feeling of unbelief, yes fantasy and fairytale that caught me, but when I saw the Towers fall down, I felt scared and frightened. Brussels, our capital, is seen as the business and political centre of Europe, and I was afraid for another attack over there. I've been to NY once, it was 3 years ago. It was my first trip to the US and I was all by myself. When I walked out of JFK airport, I felt powerful and very alive. It was a wonderful experience and for me it was ans still is the most beautiful and energetic city I ever went to. Although the 11th of September has changed me and my thoughts, I am glad it has never changed my view on NY.
