For me September 11,2001 started like any other day, I got ready and went to work. That day I started at 8:00a.m. and was driving to work listening to music dreading another day at work, I knew nothing of what was going on in New York. Shortly after being there customers were coming through my checkout and telling me about the horrible things that were happening, I couldn't believe it, and as more employees came into work they also told of what they just seen on T.V. it still seemed so unreal. It was hard to concentrate and do my job I had to keep fighting back the tears. All I wanted to do was to leave and be with my family and watch what was going on. I had to stay and on my breaks I spent the time watching one of the T.V's that our store had for sale. It was still so hard to believe what was going on, I never thought anything like this would ever happen here. As soon as I got home from work I put un the T.V and spent the rest of the night watching everthing that was going on and continued to do so for the rest of the week. My life as I knew it had totally changed this day and I will never feel completely safe ever again. I pray for the people who lost their family and friends and as I sit here writing this one year later it still hits me so hard. The brave men and women who lost their lives that day are now angels above watching over us, they will never be forgotten.
