Just below Canal St. 15-20 minutes after the north tower went down

A favourite photograph of myself (somethings I dont enjoy) with the great Manhattan skyline behind me. Taken in 1984 when I was visiting the City. My first visit. I will never forget the view from te top of the WTC. A remarkable place.

This picture was taken on the top of one the towers, on July 4th 1999. It was hot and windy. I'll never forget the woman who served me a coffee just minutes before this picture was shot.

For me, these are the most easily recognized symbols of NYC. When you see them, you know exactly where in the world you are. The events of 9-11 left us wondering what's wrong with the world where we are.
