911DA Story: Story
On September 11, 2001, I was at work at the East Tennessee Children's Hospital Rehabilitation Center in Knoxville, Tennessee when I heard the news about the World Trade Center. At first a parent of one of our children told us that an airplane had crashed into the World Trade Center. At that time, I realized this was some very bad news, but it wasn't until a few minutes later that I realized just how bad it was.
As I watched the television coverage of this in the lobby, I was angry, saddened, frightened, and felt very helpless. I felt sympathy for the families of the people in the World Trade Center, but I couldn't imagine how those people felt. I tried to imagine what it was like to be in the World Trade Center or one of the airplanes, but I couldn't even begin to know what those people must have felt.
I am very proud of the terrific Country in which I live, and support my Country all the way. United we stand!
