My life has been greatly affected as a military dependant because of what happened on September 11, 2001. After the events, the military went to Iraq and Afghanistan, including many soldier who have been over seas multiple times. My only memory of September 11, 2001 is that my parents were home early due to the events at the Pentagon which is only 20 miles away from where I live. The next day I told my Pre-school teacher that a very bad man crashed his airplane in my dads work building. In 2001, I did not know what was really happening, but now I understand how the world would never be the same and that I personally would be affected.
