How has your life changed because of what happened on September 11, 2001?

I was laid off from my work on Sept. 11, 2001. I was living in Tarrs, PA when the flight 93 flew over my house and crashed in Somerset. I have never really spoke of it untill now...I remember waking up, going downstairs and turning on the tv. I watched the broadcast of the first tower on fire and then a jet-airliner slammed into the second tower (I watched that live feed). Then they were saying about the Pentagone getting hit. I was wondering what the hell was going on in the world all of a sudden. And I was thinking that my position on the Earth's surface put me pretty much smack dab in the middle of the two places that were being targeted (New York and Washington D.C.). I was a little to the West but in the middle non-the-less. THEN they started blaring about the one in Somerset, PA and I started looking up toward the sky and thinking Good Lord are they going to crash through my house, next? Somerset, Penna is about, oh, I say about a half hour drive..Or about 3 mins as the terrorrists fly from my former place. I never actually saw the plane go over my house....talked to some that said they did see it....

How will you remember the 10th anniversary of the September 11 attacks?

I remember that many Americans died in the course of their duty. A vast majority of those that are fallin had no choice. There were a lot of people that burned to death, jumped to their doom (falling 80 stories or more), and/or were killed on impact...They shall never be forgotten.
