911DA Story: Story
I was in the family car, when the radio burst with the news. We stopped the car and I changed the stations to know what was the truth. We looked one to another (we are four, father, mother, me and sister). After a short drive in the freeway, we stopped in front of a public phone in the middle of nowhere, and I spend 15 U$S trying to speak with my girlfriend in Jerusalem, Israel. She was freaking out, she was thinking that the Palestinians have gone mad and that the end of the world was close. I assure her that this was not from Arafat, but took me a lot of expensive phone calls to convince her that was not possible or good for her to escape from Israel in the same day. In the end, she traveled to her relatives in northern Tel Aviv, and I continued my travel to Buenos Aires. The next day the people in my town were commenting in a low voice how the yankees deserved the blow: "now they know what it is like to suffer". For me was like a Hollywood movie. That night I looked to my photos in the Twin Towers, from 1999.
