911DA Story: Story
I was working at as a manager at a restaraunt at the time, and I was on my way back from the bank when I heard the news of the attacks on the radio. At first I thought it was a sick joke, I mean, who would ever imagine such a thing could happen? But than I realized how true it was. I was in shock. When I got back to the restaraunt, I was the only one there who knew, so I was the one to break it to my co-workers. One of the girls went to her house and got a radio so we could follow the news, and others tried franically to get in touch with family members who worked at the Pentagon. There was tears and anger. Everyone was in a daze for days. Thankfully no one there lost anyone in the attacks, but my heart goes out to all those that did. Later, me, my sister, and or friends watched the news together and cried and prayed for the victims and their families. And for days the sound of an airplane approaching struck fear in our hearts. Some of the fear has faded but will never be completely gone. I hope that nothing like this could ever happen again. But no one will ever forget that day. It truely is a day of infamy now.
