I was in my precalculus class at the time in High School, and we watched the whole bombardment on TV and we basically took the rest of day off. Me and my friends were talking about how lame the passengers were for just sitting in fear of a few guys with box cutters. They could have easily retaken the plane with the sheer number of people in the plane. At worst someone would have gotten a partially bad lasceration. I guess they felt like being blown up and not coming out as heros with a few scratches.
