I was in my car on the way to work, when I turned on the radio and heard about the first plane hitting. It was about 8:20 am. At first I just thought it was an accident. I didn't think that the plane was hijacked. That thought never crossed my mind. By the time I got to work, the second plane hit and that's when I realized it wasn't just an accident. America was under attack. I was astonished. I couldn't believe that anyone would take so many innocent lives. I thought about the people on the planes and in the Trade Center towers and I couldn't even begin to imagine how frightened they were. After all 4 planes went down, everyone at my work gathered around in the front of the building in a circle. We held hands and prayed for all those involved. Now, I try not to take things for granted. You never know how much time you have left with the people you love. I am truly thankful for all the blessings in my life.
