When the attacks on sept. 11 happend i was at Center Line High and in seminar class, which is a study period. All of the sudden the T.V. clicked on and the first thing i saw was a plane hitting the fist tower. At that time i was a little confused and really did not know what was happening. There were a lot of questions asked on why they were showing that. No sooner could i say what is going on another plane hit the second tower. After that i think everyone pretty much stopped and dropped what they were doing and had their eyes glued to the T.V.. We did not get let out of school, but we did watch the news in every other class. All of this happend during our homcoming week, so we had float parties and sports. All the sports were cancelled. The float parties too, except the sophomore class of 2004, my class. So of course i went to the float party and my parents came to get me because they wanted our family to be together on that day. My dad bought six tapes and just kept putting them into the vcr one after another. For about the next 2-3 weeks i was just glued to the T.V. wondering and hoping they find everyone. Unfortunatly they didn't and i prayed for the families that lost their loved ones. Even though i was not living in New York or did not have a relative living there, what happend on Sept. 11 effected me and many others in my city, because all we could think and talk about is what is going to happen next? and what if it is Michigan next? I just can't believe that this event happend 1 year ago. All i know is that day is going to live with me the rest of my life!!
