"Toward a More Perfect Union (poem)"
As One
We saw the planes soar through the sky
with no question we accepted and made no reply
as we saw the smoke arise from the buildings
family and friends had just begun their grieving
we didn t move no one budged
they just stood their for they couldn t judge
when the ruble settled and the smoke cleared the sky
the tears were shown in our eyes
they stole a piece of americas pride
but now they have to run and hide
we will avenge our friends and families deaths
a fight they will get to the end
it s ashame this had to happen to bring us together
we would cry and think why this was done
now we stand proud as one
