911DA Story: Story
On September 11, 2001, all of us were somewhere. Many of us still vividly remember where we were when we heard the tragic news. Whether we were at school, home, work, or on the road, we were all somewhere. Now, on September 11, 2002, we are all here. Some people tried to destroy America, but we are still here! Please remember what America truly is about: equality for all people, regardless of the traits that define us.
On 9/11/01 I was in debate class where, ironically, the topic was weapons of mass destruction. I had two family members that work in the Pentagon so I ran to the guidance office to try and contact family in West Virginia. After about an hour of frantic calling, I discovered that everyone had been home that day and all were safe. Yet, many were not as fortunate as I. My thoughts and sympathies are with the family and friends of all victims and heroes.
