I was getting ready to leave for work. As we always do, my partner and I turned on the television. There is was, one tower down and the next one crumbling as I watched in horror. As a native New Yorker, I felt a piece of my life and history was taken away. I thought of all the people who lost their lives and I felt totally helpless. I could not go to work that day and today on the anniversary of this horrid attack, I watched the television, watched the memorials and felt it as clear and new as if it was happening all over again.
