I was in the sixth grade when the attacks occured. We went about our morning as usual going through science, english and history. At one point in the morning before ten o'clock our teacher was asked to step out of the room. Everyone in the room wondered why. A few moments later she came back and said something has happened in New York, and Washington DC. We went to P.E. and wondered what it could be. When we came back from P.E. the television in the room was on and there where the twin towers with enormous amounts of smoke comming out of them. I couln't make anything of it becuase I didn't understand what was happening. I really got confused when my mom, who worked in DC, picked me up from school that afternoon. My dad also had come home early. They said the whole government had been shut down and basically sent home. I turned on TV when we got home and wondered why every channel was showing the same thing. After a couple of minutes I realized, for the most part of the horrible events that happened on September 11, 2001.
