911DA Story: Story
I may not have been in New York but the news hit hard every where. I was sitting in my Drawing class when I heard about the attacks. When the teacher came into the room he said that he just heard the most unbelieveable thing, two planes were hijacked and hit the Twin Towers in New York. We all sat there and waited for a punch line to come in because we all thought he was joking, but he turned on the radio and we listened to the horrible news. For the rest of the day there was solmenness about campus. I called my mother as soon as I could and asked where my brother was because he travels a lot with his job. She told me that he was fine and that they sent everyone home from downtown Chicago, where he works. I next thought about all those people who were just doing there jobs and everyday activities and it made me realize that things do change in an instant. I always tell the people around me hoiw much I care about them but now I give them a hug because I don't know what will happen after they leave. If you do decide to read this please remeber to always tell someone how you care because they may not be there later to tell it to.
