I remember emailing my son who is a Tech Sgt. in the USAF, after hearing that the towers were hit, and he filled me in. Then rushing home to call his brother, who worked in Lower Manhattan, to make sure he was OK, and watching on TV, as the South Tower crumbled. It took hours to get through to family in NY but I was frantic to find out if anyone was at the towers. When the North Tower fell, it was so surreal. Just unbelievable. How could this be happening,,,,,here,,,,,,in the U.S.A.,,,,,,,,in New York City. When those towers were built, I watched every da, from start to finish. How could they now be gone? All the lives lost. It was more than my mind could assimilate. I thought the tears would never stop.
