911DA Story: Story

It was a regular Tuesday morning I got up and got ready for school like I normally would do. I left for school a little late that day because I saw a few
friends of mine in the morning and we were just standing around talking about the last nights sports and stuff like that. I got on the train and got off
at 8th avenue as usual, I was going to get on the A train which is express but after one stop the train stopped and they said that we must
evacuate the trains because two planes had hit the World Trade Center.
I did not know anything of any terrorist attacks, when I first came out of the train station. All I saw were two black clouds of smoke and heard
nothing but sirens. But it still did not hit me what was going on so I proceeded toward school not knowing what was going to happen. I got about
two blocks from the trade center when I saw tons of debris falling from the building and I also saw people just plunging to there death it was the
worst sight I will probally ever see in my life. People were still trying to get closer and I remember walking with two kids my own age and a man
from the FBI telling us "If I were you guys I wouldnt try and get any closer cause he could hear the explosions from inside and he thought the
tower was going to fall soon."
Then the unthinkable happened. The south tower fell and people were runnning everwhere in a panic, so I just ran north with the crowd I was not
close enough to get covered with debris like you saw on tv.
The next thing I thought of was to get out of there fast so I continued to walk north along the river watching the faces of horror on everybodys face.
When I got further away I remember looking back and just seeing one tower and I could not believe it then just remember hearing everybody
scream as tower one fell down and all the people were screaming.
I then walked to Jacob Javits Center where my father works. When I got there I saw a couple of my father's friends that I had met a few times and I
saw my mother hysterical crying cause she knew I was in the area When I asked where my father was he was walking downtown looking for me.
I remember hearing his voice on the nextel when he foundout I was saw there was a sound of releif as he walked back to be with me and my
mom.
When I got home that evening I remember going outside with all my friends and looking at the huge clouds of smoke and I dont think it hit any of
us what actually happened. Yet we were all in shock of what was going on.
