911DA Story: Story

I remember being at my machine when I heard from one of my coworkers what had happened. She asked us if we were at war and I said not that I know of. Israel and Palestine were at war. She told me that the WTC had been attacked. Of course I did not believe this and was like no way. This can't happen to us. At break my coworkers and I sat down as they brought in the tvs. I saw the first tower on fire. Then not long afterwards I saw the second plane hit. I just sat there in shock not knowing what to think. I thought that this was all a dream that I would wake up and it would all be over. This was something out of a movie not real life. I went back to work. A little while later came back for lunch and the towers had already collasped. I still think about it from time to time and what I was doing and where I was. To this day I still can't see those planes hit the those towers. People jumping out of the buildings so as not to burn alive. Cried for the people who did not make it. The families who lost loved ones. To me it is very important that we as Americans continue to live our lives and not let the terrorists win. We must rebuild as was to show our determination our defiance. To give up is to let the evil win. America is strong, Americans are showing a newly rebuilt patriotism. September 11th was a day when America cried, but also became much stronger and closer. Heroes were born, courage was shown. We as Americans must be a beacon to the world, show them that there is still hope in a dark and evil world. I wrote this poem a long time ago but it is what we as Americans need to do.

LIVE EACH DAY
Live each day like a task
Live each days as if it were your last
Live each day knowing who you are
Live each day knowing you wil go far

Live each day knowing what you want to be
Live each day and see the things you want to see
Live each day and soar like a bird
Live each day to be heard

Live each day as if it were your own
Live each day knowing you are not alone
Live each day like a task
Live each day as if it were your last.
