911DA Story: Story

I'll never forget the way I felt the day I heard about and watched the attack on the World Trade Towers. For one split moment I felt the exact pain of everyone who lost someone that day. I looked at my students and saw the anguish on their faces and was at a total lose on how to comfort them and ease their fears. That same day I went to the hospital to visit my grandfather and watched his expression as we once again watched the tragedy. I realize then just how old he was and that life is not always promised tomorrow. I decided that day to make some changes. My family and I seemed to draw a little bit closer and I viewed life as a chance to make a difference in every student's life that I taught. Today, I continue making that difference. On this anniversary, I share the pain and I know that each victim rest in the Hands of God for giving something that each person needs to truly be thankful for-LIFE.
