NMAH Story: Story
I was at home and my husband called to ask me to turn on the television to CNN, he had heard something on the radio about a plane hitting the WTC. I turned on CNN and saw the tower burning. As I was watching the second plane flew into the other building. I called my husband and my mother to tell them what was going on. I was crying as I continued to watch. I was devastated when the buildings fell. Like so many others, I am sure, watching those majestic building collapse was one of the worst things I have ever seen in my life. My heart was heavy as I thought of all the citizens if different countries who would not be going home that day. I rejoiced for those who made it out.
NMAH Story: Life Changed
Yes, I am more vigilant in watching my surroundings, I am more aware of how precious life is and I have the utmost respect for the men and women in our military who put their lives on the line in a time of war.
NMAH Story: Remembered
We should always remember those who died that day. We should also remember that the US is vulnerable to others who might wish our country harm.
NMAH Story: Flag
Yes, my flag has flown 24/7 since it happened. I am proud of our flag.
