NMAH Story: Story

I was in third hour math class. The message came through on the intercom to turn on the TV. At the time, I wasn't even sure what the World Trade Center and the Pentagon were. Now I will never forget. Everyone, including me, was very confused. The rest of the day, it was the only thing anyone could think about. When I got home, my family talked about it over dinner. I couldn't get the image of the planes crashing into the buildings, out of my head. Before I went to sleep, I listened to the radio on my headphones. It was terrible to think about how most of the people in those towers would never wake up to go to work again. They would never see their families, and they would never know exactly how they died.

NMAH Story: Life Changed

My life changed because of September 11, 2001, because now I have become more patriotic. I have a lot more respect for the people of New York. I have also seen how strong the United States of America can be in the time of a crisis.

NMAH Story: Remembered

I think that people should remember all of the heroes of 9-11. They should remember how the U.S.A. pulled together, along with the other nations of the world. They should remember how the whole country supported the victims' families, and the people of New York.

NMAH Story: Flag

My family flew an American flag after September 11. My feelings about the flag have changed, because now I am very proud about our flag, because I know that it stands for a very strong, loving country.
