NMAH Story: Story
I was in study skills, a class that has since been canceled at our middle school. As we were working, our technology teacher, I think it was, came in and told us a plane had crashed into the world trade center, and they weren't sure if it was an accident. I remember thinking, 'this can't possibly be happening.' I was only in 6th grade at the time, and was still unsure about what was happening in the world outside my home town. We watched the news coverage in 4th hour, then went home. We had school of the next day, and all my family did was watch for more news.
NMAH Story: Life Changed
I'm only 13. But my life has changed a lot. That morning, I had gotten in a small fight with two of my best friends, over something that I can't even remember now. But now, I value my friends and family so much more. I love every minute I spend with them.
NMAH Story: Remembered
I think that the now famous actions of Todd Beamer, and the other passengers of flight 97 are what matters most of all. Had they not stood up to the hijackers, even more people would have been killed.
NMAH Story: Flag
My family did fly an American flag. My feelings have grown to that of pride and patriotism everytime I see the flag.
