NMAH Story: Story

I was preparing to head to school when my mother's friend called and we turned the news on. My mother broke down in tears and I began to cry knowing that innocent lives were lost for no reasonible cause. I went to school and we watched the news most of the day. It was even my first detention ever so I spent the rest of the day in class watching the news as my detention. Lives should never be taken for such actions, especially the lives of innocent people working hard to serve their country.

NMAH Story: Life Changed

Since September 11, 2001 I have become even more encouraged to join the Marines. Since I was a little kid I wanted to join the Marines and serve my country as a proud soldier. These events caused me to love my country more than I ever had. I now enjoy remebering events such as these and spend time remembering the lives of the many that were lost. The entire military is such a strong force and to be part of such a strong force should be a great feeling to anyone in it. I now have looked even deeper into the Marines and decided that it was the lead option in life. The military should be looked at as a lead in our country and any public worker that served in the 9/11 fight and those that have served in the war will always be remembered by me and should be by everyone else.

NMAH Story: Remembered

Everyone should remember that the people that died did not do anything to encourage the terrorists to attack and kill them. They were all just innocent people living the everyday lives. The other most important thing that should be remembered is the fact that men gave their lives to try and save the lives of others. It takes a large heart to know that you may die in hopes of saving the lives of someone else who they did not even know.

NMAH Story: Flag

I had always flown an American flag whenever I had the chance, but after September 11th I put more effort into making sure my flag was flown in front of my house and to make sure I took the flag down before it became dark. To me it is a disgrace to leave the flag up in the dark because the true bright colors and love that is in the flag cannot be seen in the dark and those feelings of love cannot be felt unless you can see the bright colors and think deep inside your heart.
